i need some advice on which fork to buy for my giant stp. i ride dirt jumps but also freeride and downhill and would like something more than 100mm.it needs to be QR and 1/8 steerer. the main concern is that i only have a budget of £300. :?

You don't want any more travel on an STP. It will upset the geometry too much and make it ride like something off Orange County Choppers. Plus it will probably invalidate your frame warranty.
Have a look at Society Xenos. British made, 36mm stanchions, can be used with q/r or 20mm axle and all for under 170 bats. Linky0 -
thanx.
i diddnt think an extra 20mm would matter too much?
and iv heard different things about the society forks. problem is iv never seen anyone running them. will they last? can they handle freeride?0 -
Why not go for the Rock Shox Fork Argyle 302
and with the rest buy a new 20mm hub front wheel?
Halo SAS Pro Disc, white or black.

I think youv cracked it mate. A great deal and for a good strong fork, along with a new hub and wheel that will stiffen up the front end. perfect, thanx.0
