Disc rotors...

Is there much of a difference if any between the rotors used for discs?

I am looking for a 185mm (rear) and a 203mm (front) rotor for my Juicy 3's (currently both are 160mm).

For example, could I use a Hayes rotor? What are the differences? Any recomendations to what rotors to get?

Thanks.

They're all much of a muchness.

The key things to check are the thickness and the contact area. If the contact area isn't wide enough you may have problems as the pads will effectively be contacting the "arms" of the disc.

I use A2Z Teppan Yaki disks on my Giant with Hayes 9s. Haven't had any problems with them.

Thanks - I was thinking the only difference was the contact area!

Yeah, maybe it's a little different, but not much. Just depends on your own taste I guess.

Just so long as you have the right adapter
