Brake Fluid

GOt a set of Shimano Deore brakes need bled and was wondering if I could use Hayes Dot 4 Fluid as I don't have any Shimano? Or should I get proper Shimano oil? Or anybody know what other oil could be used?

    you can not use any DOT brake fluid in shimano brakes.

    You have to use Mineral oil brake fluid.

    Thanks Could have been a bit of a boo boo there then.....lol
    Wil any mineral oil do then?
