Brake noise, I know its been asked before

I have a GT i-drive comp with Magura Julie brakes. The brakes used to work fine on my old Marin bike but since I put the rear on this bike It has been resonating at a fairly low frequency, not a squeak, more like a loud honk. Something which sounds much more worrying and really makes the braking grabby.

I've read all the other posts I can find about it but now I'm running out of ideas.

I have cleaned the pads and rotor replaced the pads twice. Replaced the pads with another make. Swapped the wheel and rotor for another one. Cleaned the pads and rotor with meths. sanded the rotor, swapped the IS-post adaptor. put shims between the IS-post adaptor and the calliper. Given the pads a blast with a blow lamp. Put copper grease on the back of the pads. Tightened the rotor screws in the correct order.

The calliper appears to be working correctly. Both pistons move evenly. There doesn't seem to be any play in the swing arm. The only thing I haven't done is swap the Julie calliper but I will be as sick as a parrot if I fork out £50+ for a new brake and it turns out to be the bike (it was working fine on the Marin).

Any ideas?

    just use the bike.

It most likely just has a different resonant point to the old one.

    Or fit new brakes.

Not much else you can try.

I can't use it like it is. It really is awful. So I guess that only leaves one option.

OK so I'm looking at one of these on CRC. What shall I go for?

Do you think the OEM Hayes will come as a bled package?

I got a good deal from the LBS on a shimano SLX it doesn't come with the rotor so I'm using the 160 mm Magura wavey rotor and its not 100% bedded in yet but feels more powerful than the 180mm Julie front - silence no hint of the resonance :)
