Orbea frames and Campag BB - incompatible?
Hi, I'm trying to fit Campag Ultra Torque BB cups to a Orbea Mitis 2 aluminium frame.
Since the Orbea 'should' be English threaded I wouldn't think this should be a problem.
However, it seems to want an inordinate amount of torque to fit the LHS BB cup! RHS went in just fine.
I mean seriously, half way in and I'm really going to have to force it. :?
Something is not right.
It also took a lot of effort and helping the BB tool along with a hammer to get the old-style bracket out.
Anyone had similar experiences?
Will I need to get the frames bracket reamed out?
I see on this forum http://www.bikeforums.net/archive/index ... 51679.html
that they say "you will never find a Spanish frame set up for Italian components".
Which worries me a bit!

Take it to a GOOD bike shop, get the BB shell faced and the threads chased. That should sort it.0

Threads shouldn't need forcing - the frame needs prepping properly and shame on the shop that sold it in that conditionMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Cheers lads.
Took it to Prologue in East Sheen. £10 and a coffee later - sorted!
They even fitted the cups.0
