Howdy all.. am going riding saturday and want to attach a digital cam to my handlebars and record some of the trails and downhilly bits..

I've got a kodak compact cam that can record HD720p vids....so other than covering it all in gaffer tape,, anyone got any thoughts?

p.s it's got image stabilization on it.

Cheers

I would think that attaching it to your handle bars is a bad idea. I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of vibrations therefore the picture will not be too clear, or will be very very bumpy on playback.

I suggest somehow attaching it to your chest. That way it should be a nice smooth ride for the camera, and the viewers. Neck strap and a chest strap maybe?

I'd say mount it on your helmet.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

I made on of these ( i know it looks stupid in the pictures but it turns out fine) and filmed the whole glentress red descent. Video is not perfectly still but its not bad
