SRAM shifters with Shimano?
Don't know if anyone knows this, but...
I've been offered a complete Dura Ace 7800 groupset from a TT bike, but without standard STI.
However, I have also been offered a good deal on some SRAM Force STI (he's upgrading to Red) - but unsure whether these will work with the Dura Ace.
Anyone any ideas or experience with this?
Any advice much appreciated...

Hey there,
I was looking into this myself, and I gathered that SRAM shifters will only work if you have the derailleurs to match, but a SRAM cassette/chainset will work with Shimano shifters/derailleurs.
Someone else might think otherwise though.

what Pedro said
SRAM/Shimano cassettes are swappable
but AFAIK you need Shimano STI with Shimano rear mechs, generally. SRAM run a different cable pull.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
Cheers chaps.
Oh well. Looks like I'll have to look for some Shimano STI.
Not the end of the World, just seemed like a good option at the time...the new STI are so expensive, at least £200 just for 105, not to mention the Dura Ace ones...
Thanks anyway...
