ordered a set of white Cro-Mo DMR wingbars for my play bike last week from Wiggle.

Stock level said 1 in stock so ordered it.

Money was taken straight away from account, re-checked stock and it said 0. I assumed that as I had bought the last one that was correct.

Still hasn't turned up a week later, emailed them today to get this reply:

Thank you for your email.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience, we are still waiting for stock to arrive
of your order. I have sent an email to our suppliers to chase this up for you,
as soon as we hear back from them we will let you know what is happening.

I do apologise for the delay with this order.

Regards

Wiggle Customer Services

This is happening more and more, and not just with Wiggle, CRC took a week to get me some tyres, and I ordered some custom mongoose decals (the proper ones - rub on etc) 2 weeks ago and nothing yet......

Must be something in the air......

I am having exactly the same problem with some kit I ordered from Je James nearly three weeks ago!. As you said, the money went straight out of my account but I am still waiting to hear. I rang them last week and they told me that their Rotherham store is waiting to receive the stock from another branch before they can send it out!!! If I haven't recieved it within the agreed 28 days I will have to cancel because I am off to the pyrenees in a fortnight and need the kit for that.

Time of year, weather's been a bit better and loads of people are digging their bikes out of storage (or servicing them after a hard winter of riding) and are ordering replacement and upgrade parts in anticipation of dry trials and a glorious summer (or possibly a wet bank holiday at a trail centre)..

Getting anything serviced is fun at this time of year, do people get their bikes serviced in the Autumn prior to storage, no they chuck them in the shed after the last Autumn ride (you know the muddy one which you didn't enjoy and signalled the end of the riding season) in disgust and went a and made a brew to warm up. Anyway along comes one day of mild spring weather and the bike (which is by now a lump of congealed mud and rust) out of the shed, find it doesn't work and promptly and send it off to the LBS to be sorted (same thing happens with Petrol lawn mowers :? ).
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

in the shed? I ride my bike all year round. Even shops are a bit sparse when it comes to parts. I just hope they got what I need when I'm ready to buy in a few weeks.

You want to have a word with them about taking the money from you before they've sent the goods, I thought that was against the law.

  • Having similar problems :(

Although, as a tip for anyone wanting some cash off parts..

Do the email notification thing @ CRC on random bits and pieces (like '07 and '08 parts) thats are out of stock.

Eventually they'll realise they can get the stock and will send you a £10 off voucher... i've had 2 so far :D
  • Its probably got more to do with this credit crunch to be honest, companys dont want to hold stock and they may be cutting down on delivery speeds as next day delivery and pre 9;30 etc work out quite expensive its probably just a case of costcutting, not much good to us though !!
