Warped Disc

Morning all! Just wondering if I can tap into all your wise advice. I've not had my new Specialized Pitch that long and only covered circa 200 miles on it, but after a fairly short ish ride recently the rear disc seemed to have become warped. I'm not a heavy weight, only 11 stone and I've not been breaking overly heavily either. Mainly been using the bike for some cross country so far and light ish down hill but the fact the rear disc has warped seems a bit odd to me. I'm 99% sure i've not clipped it with a rock or anything.
Just wondering the best route to take from now - Where do I stand re: having it replaced under warrenty? If I bend it back with one of those park tools things is it likely to happen again? Is this a common problem? Should I just replace the Disc? The brakes are avid juicy 3 SL's.
Cheers in advance
Tom

You might as well try to get it replaced under warranty - you having nothing to lose.
If you get no joy then you are looking at replacing it yourself or, as you mentioned, try a repair. Depending on the warp, you can correct a warped disc with remarkable accuracy with a little patience and care. I have had to do this on one occasion but did not need any tools, just my fingers. You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
whay makes you think the disc is warped?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I popped the bike on a workstand and span the back wheel - the disc isn't straight throughout the full turn on the wheel. It's catching on the pads.0

Is the front disc classed as being warped on my bike i would say there is about a 1-2mm deviation as it spins and it rubs on the pads.Boardman Team 09 HT
