Them and Wiggle are the biggest UK online bike "stores", fastest at delivery, and pretty cheap.
    I like bikes...

    My fav shops online are:

    Chainreactioncycles (CRC)
    Wiggle
    Slane Cycles
    Probikekit

All very good and have never had any problems with any of them that wasn't solved quickly.

CRC order placed at 10 am on Friday came Saturday at 8:15 am.

Not bad for NI to Wales.

  • i uses CRC more than wiggle, and if you order probably before 1pm it arrives the next day with their free delivery :-)

never had a problem with them and very good at being honest with their stock levels
  • Use CRC a lot. Albeit I live in NI but they literally have everything! Even managed to find nosepads for an older pair of Oakleys!
Prices are great, lots of discounts, but always worth giving Wiggle a look. :D

I've always found CRC to be very reasonable.

I've bought a couple of wheelsets from them and numerous other bits. £380 for a set of DT Swiss RR1850s now seems an utter bargain compared to the silly nigh on £700 price nowadays and my Aksiums were £110.

Good price on 23C Conti 4000s at the time and £24.99 and 27.99 for a couple of 9-speed Ultegra cassettes wasn't too bad either.

Delivery has always been pretty sharpish too.

I've used them for quite a few things.
As said their delivery is very fast on smaller items but bikes take about a week.
The only problem I find is that they don't set up the gearing on complete bikes which is annoying. When I get a new bike I just want to get straight out on it rather than faffing with the derailleurs!

Wiggle and CRC both very good, and Wiggle often put a small bag of Haribo in with your purchase. nothing like some sweeties while you put on your new shoes/ light/ chain etc etc...

My first and only experience of CRC wasn't very good. Ordered a pair of waterproof trousers for the hubby's birthday. However, they sent a small instead of a medium (which I odered). I sent them back and asked for them to be changed for a medium. A week passed and still no trousers or email or phone call. So I phoned and they told me that they had no mediums left and that they had refunded my account. Fair enough, but slightly annoying that I had to chase them up for this and it still took another 3/4 days before the money was refunded.

I suspect they never had any mediums to begin with so just sent the small in the hope I would't notice!! I'll stick to Wiggle from now on.

I was waiting over two weeks for an order to be 'processed'. Granted some of the stuff was out of stock when I placed the order, but normally they break the shipment up into two parts. In the end I just had to get them to cancel it. Which they promptly did...

I'd still use them again though as they have the biggest range, the best prices and free international shipping!

I use CRC and Wiggle (depending on who's cheaper at the time!) for 90% of my bike-related shopping and have never had any problems.

Just used CRC for the first time and nothing bad to say about them.
    Free next day delivery etc.

I'm a platinum customer 10 times over with Wiggle  and fancied a change (price checking).

I've just logged into check the number of orders I have made with CRC.....

In my history of 29 orders (That's nearly one a month!), they have never sent the wrong item, once I remember I had about a week delay, after they said it had been despatched, but it did turn up, and once I bought a super cheap jacket, and at the time it didn't say there were any reviews or a rating for the jacket.

After the jacket arrived, and I had taken the tags off, on a weird hunch I clicked on reviews, and on all these reviews appeared and on there it got slated.
I mailed them and explained my dissatisfaction, and they said to send it back and they would refund, which they duly did.

    All good in the hood.

I used to shop at Wiggle lots and lots, but their prices are less and less competitive, has been that way for over a year IMHO.

JE James are super cheap but can be a bity flaky if things go wrong.

Ribble, and Merlin are awesome, PBK are pretty good I find, parker International are also admirable service and price wise as well.

    Cheers
