Whats your favorite engine sound?

I'm a huge fan of the internal combustion engine and love the sound of a nice one. There are many that over the years have made me think well thats amazing, music to my ears. I'd like to share a few and join in the fun and show us your faves. I'll kick off with bikes as they are my main love but cars are just as awesome so V8's are more than welcome, no diesels!!!

One of my other faves is this, its a car made by Suzuki for the Pikes Peak hill climb. V6 2.7 litre twin turbo 1000ps. Escudo0 -

I had a very interesting flight on a Merlin a couple years ago, top flying by the crew talk about a roller coaster ride.
I do seem to have a soft spot for the sound of helicopters.It's not a ornament, so ride It0 -
The 1.5 litre 16 cylinder BRM formula 1 engine I have heard it in the flesh at full throttle I nearly weed my self it was so beatiful

My GSXR600 with K&N air filter and full Micron exhaust system in a nice long tunnel, 2 gears lower than I really need to be in.+ 1001 posts reset by the cruel cruel moderators!

bobagg the CSL sounds SOO good! I remember someone bringing one into one of the hangars at Kinloss when I was working there. The noise of it starting up and leaving the hangar was amazing!
Can't believe no one has mentioned the mighty Merlin engine in the spitfire!

and as for the chinooks, when you have them flying over your office 20+ times a day, it gets kind of irrating - especially when you're on the phone!0 -
