Campag BB question

You must have the tool to take the bearing cups off. Mine's made by Pedro and fits on a standard 1/2 inch drive ratchet handle or torque wrench. If you're removing a BB then you'll probably need a special tool to undo the bolt from the middle of the spindle. It's a large allen key (I can't remember what size) but it's very long to reach the bolt. If you're just fitting one you can make do with a normal allen key and loctite..... although Campag recommend the correct tool so you can do the bolt up tight enough.0

10mm Allen key or hex driver for the centre retaining bolt and a small screwdriver to unhook the retainer clip. Shouldn't need to take the cups off unless they're creaking or loose. The best tool for this job is one of the flat-spanner types e.g. Park Tool - Hollowtech, GXP, Megoexo and Ultratorque all use the same spline pattern, but some of the workshop, socket types aren't e.g. GXP, because of the internal chamfers.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

There is a full et of fitting instructions at the Campagnolo website, as there is for all current Campag products.
There is also a full spares listing for all Campag products back to 1997, with exploded diagrams.
Visit www.campagnolo.com and look under "Tech Help" - use the menu on the lower left side of the page for "Instruction Leaflets" or "Spare Parts" dependiing on what your needs are.
For UT BB, I'd get it fitted by a shop that knows what they are doing (a Campag Proshop, listing at the Campag website, is best), as the frame may well need the BB threads chasing out, the BB shell facing (if it's not of a type / material that makes facing impossible / inadvisable) ... don't rely too much on some of the fitting "instructions" I've seen on the 'net as some of them are just plain daft and show a woeful lack of understanding of how the UT system works ...
Bear in mind all the warranty-type issues that go along with improper fitting ... we see them from tme to time & whilst we'll always try and help, some things that happen due to improper fitting just can't be claimed on ...Campagnolo Appointed Service and Warranty Centre for the UK.
