Just cleaning the bike up on the workstand and checked the condition of the Sram PC991 Crossstep with a chain wear tool and it was easy to place in the 0.75 % tongues between the links, although the 1% side wouldn't go in.

The chain was new on the bike as of the 3rd Jan this year and only covered 442 miles !

Have another Crossstep anyway, but quite suprised at the wear rate. It was meticulously cleaned and lubed after every ride too.

    and?

    what is the question?

yes chains can wear out fast due to conditions/use and poor lubing.

Just suprised that it's only lasted 3 months, that's all !
