Strange braking action...

Hi all... Iv just got my nice new shiny bike and hopefully im being paranoid. The bike is fitted with avid juicy 3 disk brakes, and appear to work very well. However the rear brake seems to work strangley. when braking lightly there are no problems, however when a reasonable amount of force is used it seems to struggle to grip the disk, and then usually the wheel just locks up. This happens hot or cold, fast or low, wet or dry. the brakes have really only done about 75km of braking but surely this is long enough for bedding in etc. The lever feels fine and solid however the use of the rear brake just isnt as effective as the front. Its not a huge worry to me however i have a free service coming up so if i had some idea as to what it may be then i can get it fixed for free.
cheers.

it may be that your rotors arnt centred properly and subsequently your pads are not applying even pressure at both sides of your rotor. if you undo the caliper bolts (obviously not the mounting bolts) and push your pads backa little so as not to damage them, then tighten your bolts back up whilst pressing in your brake lever with firm pressure. this may help! it worked for me
