Hi All. Building up a Scot Ransom from scratch with a carbon frame and I could do with some help please. Can any one tell me, with pics if possible, how all the cable and brake hoses are routed please?

Also, I'm sure there should be a cover over the operating lever on the Equalizer shock, a carbon fibre thing? Is this right as I'm missing mine?

Finally, for now any way, on the shock there are two rods that are pulled out by a lever operated by the traction control on the bars, they both have a blue nut on the end. Should the nuts be loose as mine are hand tight?

Thanks. :D

    Thanks. ;)
  • Just to clarify the lever that controls the two adjusting rods on the side of the shock doesnt have a cover but the two adjusting rods do.

In essence there is only one carbon cover as part of the Equalizer unit.

Is that the one you meant?

Running the cable through the frame is a PITA! It took me ages of fiddling to get the technique right as I upgraded my cables and they are ever so slightly bigger than the standard ones, you wouldnt believe how much harder that made them to route right!

I've got a photo of my bike here which may help with cable routing.
If you want it, PM me yr email address.

As for cover on shock remote - I don't have one either but mine's 2nd hand so I've never really worried about it not being there.

As for blue bolts - anything on the bolts or in the manual about tightness/torque?
