What mounts are on your J2 fork? Is the C2 a IS caliper?

    very early Post mount caliper.

    you need a 20mm bigger disc and a AD-PMF69 A2Z adaptor

    http://www.a2zcomponents.com/ada.htm
    Function/Features:
    - Adapter for old Manitou fork post mount (69mm: center to center) to
convert to ?IS?International Standard disc mount.
    - Enlarge your rotor 20mm diameter for increased braking power!
    - Fits most of disc brake systems.

it says that the 69mm is the side that connects to the forks i think , but i need the 69mm bit for the caliper

no the caliper is 69mm and the fork is 51mm

but to be sure lets have a photo of the caliper.

    As it says there
One used C2 caliper half No 9 fitting to suit early Manitou post mounts
fo the spacing is as i thought and you need the adaptor listed and a 180mm disc.

Please not that an IS (fork) to Post (caliper) adaptor will not work and the new Post mounts are 74mm not the 69mm that you have on the caliper.

Yes, If the caliper is really a 9 with 69mm spacing (not74mm)

Hang about... C2s all used xx5mm rotors, not xx0... The adaptor adds 20mm, so that would make a 185mm necessary rather than 180 wouldn't it?

IF his disc is 160 then.....

but yes if 165 then 185.

But the old No 9 caliper? (not the 9:74)
Caliper #9: This caliper is to be used with Manitou forks w/ 68mm hole spacing with 165mm rotors (??). No adapter is required (bolts directly to the fork tabs).

well i just thought id say the adaptor arrived yesterday all the holes were the right distance apart but unfortunately the shape of it didnt fit the caliper very well. So in the end i just used an old 74mm adaptor and redrilled the holes.
