Does anyone know of a place selling Sidi shoes in half sizes? The Sidi website says they do them but can't find anywhere selling them.

Also, does anyone know if there's any difference between the 08 and 09 Ergo2? Apart from £50?

Yes jon wiggle do the Sidis in half sizes. OK if you know your size of course .....

I would have thought the 50 quid price hike has something to do with the Vernice finish on the Ergo 2s, which imo look very nice and are probably a little more resistant to scratches etc because of it, who knows?

    Resistant?

Nah. One tyre rub episode later and I have a big black scuff on the front of my white ones.

Thanks for the info on Wiggle.

As for the difference between 08/09, other colours are available aside from those with the Vernice finish and they're all priced the same. Can't find any details on technical changes since last year.

yes resistant bendertherobot. I have Energies from 05, and judging from the marks on those, with using normal Lorica, that a shiny surfact would help with wear and tear.

jon have you checked the Sidi web site or had a word with the distributors about this?

Certainly have, no reply to my email as yet. It definitely came from tyre run when I had a track stand overlap issue. Odd because they look otherwise very resistant. But the white came straight off.

Sidi have emailed me back very quickly. No technical changes between the 08/09 shoes. Some colours added, some deleted. Vernice is just a shiny finish added to the Lorica (synthetic leather) upper. Prices have increased due to the weak £ vs €

    Now, what colour to get.......

Would you advise against getting Vernice then bendertherobot?

Not sure which colour to get, it's between white, white/yellow, white/lux and white vernice.

    Decisions, decisions.........

Will have to consult the official rule book of the eurocyclist to check if Vernice is allowed.
