freehub question

Had a deore freehub fitted a couple of months ago.
It never really span very freely, stopping fairly rapidly after a quick twirl of the cassette, but I've noticed the chain is sagging heavily if I rotate the cranks backwards and I am also now getting the odd crack as the thing slips( I am fairly certain it is the freehub)...
It isn't going to get any looser with time is it ?
Back to the shop ?
Thanks.

sounds like it is on the way out."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Exactly what mine did. It was fooked, and got to the stage where that 'cracking' noise loss of drive appeard every time I put a load on the cranks.0

Might be under warranty, if not, it might free up with some work. Failing that, 12 quid?0

It is still under warranty but as you say, for the sake of a few quid and being without my bike for a couple of days, I've stripped it, cleaned it and re oiled it. It doesn't run roughly and now spins easier so touch wood...;)0
