Replaced cassette and chain - Dura Ace 53/39 with 12-27 cassette and KMC xl10 chain...

Problem is chain will not stay on titanium cogs - the 27 is fine, no problem. but the 19, 21 , 24 won't stay in place, skipping all over the shop. On the workstand it is fine, on the road it is fine, until you want to push hard uphill, then all is lost.

I turned the knob on the rear deraileur... both ways, one had no effect, the other screwed up thre higher gears (below 19) to be noisy. I am wondering if the problem is the KMC chain, because i had similar problems with my last set up (34-50 chainset and 12-25 cassette) - should i be using a shimano chain?

Like i say on the workstand the change is fine, as on the road only, when i try to push uphill with the Titanium cogs (except the 27) and the chain goes all over the place, noisy, betweeen 1 gear and the other.

I would not blame the material, thats only for length of wear. Check the top jockey wheel is not too near or touching the cassette. Might be ok on the stand but if it is very near then under strain it may be enough to start catching he cassette and throwing the chain off. Is the chain lengh ok ?
