Well after a recent pimping of my Scott Ransom , I decided to Pimp out my secondary bike to even the gap between it and the Ransom
Heres the original spec of the bike along with image
RS Psylo forks
suntour durolex Crankset
Shimano Deore Rear mech and shifters
X fusion coil shock with lockout and rebound
Bikehut wheels
Avid Juicy 3 brakes (came from my Ransom
Heres the Helcat from today after a serious overhaul
Marzocchi Mx Pro lo forks : I know I tried to swear off Marzocchi after my ata 55 experience but they were far lighther than the toras plus they've had recently good reviews from "what mountain bike" and mtbr . I hope I don't regret it in the long term . So far the forks "DO" work unlike my previous pair
Rockshox Ario 2.2 shock with lockout and rebound
Truvativ Stylo sl isus cranks which were very hard to get a hold of in this day and age
Alex Rims (taken from my ransom)
Scott ec pro tyres (taken from the Ransom too )
Shimano Slx rear mech , cassette and chain
Carbon headset spacersreplacing metal spacers near stem
Ransom for comparison before its tyres were changed to nobby nics
Ironically, theres a bloke in Evans cycles waterloo who wants to buy my hellcat for nostalgic purposes and that was before I did these overhauls . I wonder what will he think of it now?

The ransom is very nice . Not so sure about the carrera, seems to be a lot of nice parts on a pants frame (just my opinion, don't shoot me over it) :?0

Nowt wrong with the frame for a short travel XC rig!0

Heres some more recent pics of my Hellcat during a trip to Padstow in Cornwall
Went on the Camel trail that stretches from padstow towards Bodmin . Beautiful scenary there and the slate mounds offered a good oppitunity to test the suspension
After I came back , I modified the rig again with a new easton oversised allow bar replacing the steel one plus a new stem courtesy of my Ransom
Next month , those juicys are going to be replaced with Elixer Rs which are to test if they are really better than the juicys so if they hold up well on the Hellcat , the Ransom will get the same brakes to replace its juicy 7sSpecialized Camber

Very Nice 8) , what travel are the Marzocchi's? I've recently got a Hellcat, so far upgraded the brakes to Hayes 9 and changed the rear shock for a Monarch 3.3 to reduce pedal bobMountain: Orange Patriot FR, SubZero & Evo2LE.
