I'm having some issues with setting up my Campag Record rear caliper brake. Basically, the spring has popped out at each end and now the caliper won't centre properly. Anybody have any tips on how to get the spring back in place? Its pretty difficult to move. Caliper seems to work anyway other than that I can't get it to centre properly.

Cheers,

Mat

Remove the brake caliper, slacken off the brake cable and you should be able to pop it back in - a pair of pliers might help, but I can do it with thumb pressure only.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Excellent - I'll have a go tonight. Nice to know it can be done, even if it sounds like it'll probably be a b****r of a job.
  • Yeah, you might wanna watch your finger when you do that...
