before i start just list the bike specs so everyone knows
trek bruiser frame
FSA Maximus cranks 32t sprocket , 113 mm FSA platinum BB
SRAM 11-32 cassette
Shimano 8 speed mech and 8 speed xt shifter
kmc 8 speed chain
Having some real problems setting up my gears, first of all Ive adjusted the high and low tension screws correctly and then began to index the gears but i'm just getting loads of noise from the chain i think the chain is way too loose. when i cut the chain down i measured around the two biggest chain rings then added 2 links, is this correct ? When i first bought the bike it came with a 39t chain ring and a bottom bracket mounted chain tensioner. would i need to install this again, as to do that i think i would need to buy a new e-type bottom bracket, or is this not my problem

reread the info on park tools.
sounds like you have not set the stops right."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
