during one of my pointless spending sprees I bought a number of different chain rings in particular TA & Stronglight now the thing is those chain rings do fit my 105 crankset so should I replace the Shimano standard rings?

Both the TA & Stronglight look much better which is clearly 90% of the battle

They also feel much better made and do look thicker / heavier

I've got mix and match on the Summer bike. No problems.

First ride today with the TA ring and it did click a little under pressure but then again it is the first ride so most likely needs snugging a little, nice & shiny Ooooo :D

should have no problems, the BCD is all you need to consider, i run rotor Q-rings on a ultegra crank.

TA and some of the Stronglight rings are made from Zircal alloy which is a lot harder than the plasticene stuff that some cheaper rings are made from.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
