Missinglink with Shimano?

Is it possible to fit a missing link style connector to shimano chain? Or would I be best staying with KMC etc.

9 speed btw.

    Have one on my HG53 9sp shimano chain, works, no problems in 250ish miles
    Campag taste, jam wages.

    Yup. I've used Connex and KMC reusable 9sp links. The KMC has lasted around 10K miles and 4 chains so far. The Connex always seemed to break after around 2K. In the past the SRAM links were not compatible with Shimano but maybe thats changed in the last few years.

    SRAM links work fine with shimano chains. Easy to disconnect as well.

    Not my experience, a SRAM link on a 10 speed Shimano chain skipped all over the place.

    Nope. 10S with 10S.
