Hi Everybody,

I'm in a bit of a pickle. I use my spinning bike for recovery rides and interval session when I can't get out on the road. I was just trying to do a quick recovery ride and the pedal has sheared off from the crank arm.
The crank arm is fine but obviously has a bit of pedal left inside it. As this is a spinning bike i can't take off the crank and take it to my LBS. Any ideas guys ?? Or does anyone know of a spinning bike repair/service mechanic in the London area.

Cheers

Has it got an allen key hole in the back of the axle?

Alternetively just drill it out from whichever side the motion of the drill will be unscrewing, probably from the frame side.

suggest you take the crank off and get your LBS to sort it out - they have plenty of experience in doing these kind of things
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    ???

Not sure what you're on about there!

You mean a static exercise bike? You confused me saying recovery "rides"

If it's the right side, drill then stud extractor, if it's the left side, drill, tap, bolt then just unscrew it. Unless theres a hex socket on the rear of the axle thread.
