Got my review of Gisburn Forest published on the Singletrack website last week and they sent me a Singletrack hip flask :D .

Then got another hip flask yesterday as a free subscription gift

Shouldn't grumble as Singletrack did give me a complete XT groupset last year  .

Don't need to write to MBR as Craig the tech guru owns my LBS, I just nip in and speak face to face

Stumpy - had a few issues with my Singletrack sub. Their service is terrible. Have you had any experiences of this at all?
  • I got a comment from this website printed in the forum vote bit last month. It was when they asked who would be winning races in 09.
I might try writing a letter though, I could do with winning the crate of beer :D

so far they've been excellent though I haven't had a mag yet but the free gift and confirmation the subscription was set up came through in under 2 weeks and they told me which mag my subscription will start with so I don't end up getting it twice.

Based on this limited experience they've been way better than both MBR and WMB, both of which took about 6 weeks to get the free gift out and set up the subs and didn't tell me when it would start.

If I get any grief I'll be knocking on their front door, their only about 4 miles from me.

I had my MBUK forum signature printed as a letter (for some reason) with a snide comment from the editor.

    I did not receive beer.

Yes, I had to keep emailing Chippsspss to get him to give the subs dept a boot up the arse. When they did finally get round to sending me a copy they sent 4! I'll just go in the shop and buy it when it ends. I also never know when Singletrack is going to appear - when is the next one due out?

Well they've been terrible with me. Ordered a sub, took two months to get the mag and no free gift. When I queried it, I got a stroppy email back telling me one wasn't on offer when I took out the sub. So scanned the page of the mag with the offer on it and not heard back.

Also asked them (before I took out the sub) why their comp entry dates end almost as soon as the mag is printed and also got a stroppy reply.

Deeply unimpressed. The last mag said they were having problems. If they don't sort of their customer service soon, they will be having many more!

Well again seems I've been dead lucky, thought about entering the competition last year for the XT groupset, forgot about, remember weeks later, thought I'd have missed the deadline, entered anyway and won, full 08 XT groupset including wheels 8) .

We'll see if the first mag turns up, should be issue 49 at the end of April so I'll still be buying issue 48 when it hits Tescos.

They've got some young lady managing the subs now, pics in issue 47, half hoping they'll mess my subs up so I can go over and have a word in person  .

I'll stick with them for now. :D
