Hello all. Just a quick one. Does either a Mavic 719 or DT Swiss 5.1 come with a schrader valve type rim. IM torn between the two any way but would prefer schrader. cheers for help.

Dont know for certain if the Mavic 719 are schraeder but every other Mavic rim I have used is schraeder compatible they come with a little plastic adapter so you can use Presta if you really need to save half a gram

Just checked with a mate and yes 719 rims are schraeder compatible and come with the little black plastic presta converter

If ever there was an utterly pointless doubling of standards its the presta/schrader thing.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

Things are better now you used to see 2 other types of valve at one time. Which all needed there own adaptor cant remember what they were called though

edit one of them was called a woods valve I think,
