On road tyres

Ok I am new to rideing and just want to get fit and shed some weight b 4 i go off road. Im currently arround 18 - 19 st. I have been rideing on the road and my big off road tyres are driveing me mad, just the sound of them !!!!! Its like they stick like glue !

So can anyone please advise a tyre and a size ? Bareing in mind im only going on road and my size.

    I use Schwalbe City Jets, just the 1.5" versions.

    Very, very puncture resistant when pumped up, rock solid and very fast rolling. I did find them quite awkward getting them on and off though.

    Definitely worth swapping though, you'll only wear your off road tyres down like that. The slicks last for donkeys years.

    I use some sort of Schwalbe Marathons, there's about 10 million different Marathons so I'm not sure exactly which one :roll: They're good though, not as fast as the slick 700s on my road bike but very respectable, nice handling, wee bit more confidence inspiring than the 700s.

  • I use Nokian AWS 1.3" (all weather slick) on my hardtail :D , I would highly recommend them to you, I even used them through the Feb snow for 2 days. They do have excellent grip in all conditions, and they say advertising doesn't work :roll:
