Ultegra rear Derailleur with 105 cassette & chain
Hi,
my 105 rear derailleur jammed whilst out on a ride last week and caused the derailleur hanger to snap. I'm now waiting for the new hanger to be ordered.
The rear derailleur looks fine, but I'm now thinking if it is best to write it off, incase this happens again and go for an Ultegra rear derailleur instead?
If I do go ahead with the Ultegra (which is only £10 more than 105) will it be compatable and is it going to be worth investing in?
Cheers
Lozza

Yes it is compatible, well the 10 speed is, as I have this combination on my Trek 1.7.0

Thanks SBezza,
Do you find it worth the extra investment?0 -
Mine was fitted as standard, so I am unable to compare the difference. Given I think the 105 kit is quite good, I can't see there being a huge difference, but others that have used both might give a better answer.0
