I want to run my shimano rsx 7 speed cassette on new wheels with a 105 (5600) 10 speed hub.
Does anyone know which spacer I'll need - 3 or 4.5mm?
Also will this combination work without difficulty?

Are not 10 spd hubs specific to 10 spd cassettes?

as the hub is 8/9/10 speed compatible then a 4,5mm spacer is needed.

Meagain, the 10 spd hubs can be used with 8/9/7 speed HG cassettes, but it's a question of whether you need spacers or not and what width. At least that's my understanding.
I think if want to go the other way, ie more sprockets than a hub is labelled for you may not be able to do it.

I hope so anyway, as I've already ordered an open pro/105 rear wheel!
