  • im getting a new pair (RS toras), so theres not a lot of point getting them replaced under warranty, this thread is just for them poeple who said they were "decent forks".
  • not saying you shouldn't get some toras, get the SRs done under warranty and then stick them on ebay. You can then recoup some money for your new forks

You paid for them, so yes you should get them replaced under warranty - it is the principle.

Also, when you get them replaced you can ebay your brand new XCRs and put the money towards the Toras.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

you could always ak the shop if the warranty for the fork can be given to you in credit. I did that when my suntors died and the shop gave me £40 toward the toras and fitting.

We have been through all this, with many sound replies.

Forks break, even top end ones. Your warranty is there to get them fixed, you have a guarantee.

One broken fork does not mean they are all bad.

Hey, don't buy Tora, because one mate of mine broke the fork arch.
    They are rubbish.

And what you pay is what you get. :)
  • Thats weird, a guy I work with has the same forks and has the same problem. And he's called Jamie.

I just weighted my old ones... 2.2kg
    2400 g

And XCRs are magnesium and steel so definitly not brittle.

And why not sell them? a set of Tora 318s on ebay are about £70 and you can get £35-40 for some XCRs. Why not spend the spare £35 or so on some shiney new MG1s.

I really don't understand you, most people on this forums are more experienced than you and there are a good few dosen people on here who own or have owned XCR forks. Most agree that they are good forks for the money and yet you still try to tell everyone that we're mistaken?
