Does anyone know what size ball bearings they use in old style freewheels?
I seem to remember off the top of my head that it was 1/8"

Is that right?

thx

The actual freewheel or the hub that takes a freewheel?
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Inside a Shimano HG22 freewheel there are 70 ball bearings (31 ball bearings in one race and 39 in the other). They are 3/32" in diameter which is about 2.4mm.
  • I'm actually thinking of old style freewheels, not freehubs.
