Scott Scale Headset

Anyone else out there with a scott scale? My gf has a scale 50 which we bought brand new in June 08. The headset has never seemed to be up to much and went a tad notchy (prob about a week after its first service). Now it is very notchy, as in prob has no lubrication left. Has anyone else had any issues with their headsets on the scales?
Will buy some grease and take it apart and see if this cures it but it just doesnt seem very well sealed.....
