Putting cassette on new Mavic Aksium wheels
I just bought a pair of Mavic Aksium wheels to replace the stock ones that came on my Trek.
Do I need to remove anything from the freehub assembly on the new wheels before fitting the cassette. I know I need to remove the cassette locking ring when I take the cassette of the old wheels.
Hope someone can help.

Look, it's very simple. Make sure you have the tools you need: You need the lockring remover (Shimano or Campagnolo?) an adjustable wrench and the chain tool. With those you remove the lockring and pull off the cassette sprockets from the old wheel and put it exactly in the same way on the new one. Then you screw the lockring back closing it firmly but without strangling it to death

You may find you need a different sized spacer though...0
