Has any one ever bought one of these? Are they worth it or would you stay with a known brand?

  • Cheap frame, but i don't think i would buy it. The cycling clothing the trader sells looks fake to me so i would question the quality of the frame. You could look at one of these for £200 more.

The Planet X also includes a fork.

Or there's this if they have your size:

Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

    that Massi looks good value!

the ebay frame is probably ok and as the seller says it probably did come from the same factory as a big name but has come out without stickers - but when you can get that massi frame from the UK for that price I'd go for that instead.e

That ebay frame does look like the old scott CR1, if i were you i'd avoid it. They weren't the nicest of frames, the back end is really skittish and it isn't hugely comfortable.

    Doesn't look a bit like a CR1 to me.

The frame is £300, but you need to add on postage, and VAT (payable on imports and postage charges) and a likely customs handling fee from the courier, so you'll end up paying very close to the Planet X price and you'll still have no forks. And you've no idea if it's any good. And it's questionable you'll have any comeback from the buyer. Who's 10,000 miles away in Taiwan.

My false economy sensor is twitching.
