can a sram link be fitted to any chain? obviously correct pitch.

    pitch is the same on all cycle chains.

    as long as you fit the correct speed link then yes they should work. Some chains are slightly different but generally they are no issues.

    Most makers do not recommend using anything other than their own joining devices.

    i thought that was the case, thanks for confirming, rode bike this morning and no differance so spot on.
