Deda Newton Bars - safe to put aero extensions on?

Hi

Has anybody ever put aero clip on extensions on a deda newton (aluminium) bar?

Just wondering if its safe to clamp them on there - them being quite lightweight bars!!?

    Yes I have done so on many occasions when I have done the odd time trial on my road bike.

    Look at it like this - would you trust your life to them if they said you couldn't put aero bars on?

    I use Syntace C2 clip bars on my Newtons, no problems.
