will 650 tubes fit 700 wheels??

heard they will fit no problem is this true and what would be the benefit/reason?

    It will be tight buy may stretch depending on quality.
    I wouldn't do it unless its all you have and its an emergency repair.
    Tyre and tube manufacturers make all these sizes for a reason - to fit the right rim :idea:

    I'm sure I've heard someone say they use them to avoid pinch puntures. Not sure though.

    can't see how this would work?

    a pinch flat is a result of a tyre having low pressure and getting pinched when hitting something like a pothole or riding off a kerb - or anything when riding mtb's.

    Sounds like rubbish to me ! Pinch punctures are extremely rare anyway.

    simple answer...Obviously. they don't "fit" as they are different sizes. BUUUUUUt they will go on. thing is most if not all 650c tubes are very skinny.Stretch this over a 700c rim and they get thinner still. Will get you home but tyres can be rather unstable
