[SOLVED] How do I find out which Dura Ace levers I have

My reach to the levers on the drops is just at the edge of what is comfortable me and as result I tend to say off them so I thought I would try the shims first as at £4 its got to be worth a try however I don't know what version of the Dura Ace Levers I have as apparently there are 7800/01/03. I've checked the exposed parts of the lever and there is no stamp other than Dura Ace on them - perhaps that suggests 7800. I've checked website pics but to be honest they all look the same so they weren't much help.

    Think it might be under the hoods which means stripping the gear cable totally.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Thanks - it would be wouldn't it :shock: :roll:

    Typical unfortunately of lots of bike components. No thought for who the actual end users might be ie the one's that didn't build the bike in the first place in the vast majority of cases. :roll:

    All 7800/01/03 are the same shape aren't they? and so take the same shims?

    They're selling one for the 7800 and then a different one for 7801/03 model so there must be some difference but it's not obvious just by looking at them, or at least not to me.

    Sorted. Thankfully didn't require me to strip anything down. Thanks to the hint from redvee I decided to see if there was anyway I could get a look underneath without the strippling down and thankfully just peeling back the rubber bit between the bar and the top of lever where you rest your hands on the hoods was enough to reveal a stamp with the version number on it so very happy again :lol::lol:
