this forum doesn't really need the link to work - it's one of the most discussed bikes on here, much of it positive but I don't know anything apart from:
try googling "site:bikeradar.com/forums/ planet x pro carbon"0 -
'good buy'
yes it is.0 -
I have the SL Pro Dura Ace build (only DA mechs and shifters though), but the bike makes me smile when I ride it, love it! The wheels are very good and light too. Would be hard to beat the Ultegra build for the price, if it suits you. Climbs like a demon!0

£1000 for a full carbon Ultegra shod bike.
Its a bloody great deal.
The only thing that lets it down is that it is compact frame. Some people like them and others hate them.
Walk into a LBS or High Street chain and ask what can i buy for £1000. You will be shocked at what you can't buy.
Of course carbon isn't your only option. Many good aluminium bikes out there as well0 -

Compact frames are normally ok, but in the case of the planet x because of the sloping top tube "they" can't fit a bottle cage on the seat tube in the small size.
It's a bit of a fail on their part IMO, 1 bottle is just not enough - therefore it might be a good deal, but it's useless to me - other bikes of a similar size seem to have designers good enough to fit a seat tube bottle cage.0 -

Hey don't get me wrong. I did have some reservations when i first ordered mine but now i have mine i actually like the look and feel of the compact.
i have also found that fitting 2 larger bottles on my Large frame is a pain.
I can no longer put my 1ltr bottle on my seat tube. i have to use my down tube instead and place my 750ml on the seat tube.0 -
Mine is a lovely ride. Feels light and climbs very nicely indeed. Would recommend it. I went to Donny for a test ride first though so I had no doubts at all when I ordered.0
