Good Day to all !
Maybe somebody can help me.
I have Ti hybrid Road/MTB bicycle with SHIMANO XT 9speed group set and Mavic Elite road wheel set.
I would like to install Shimano Ultegra SL FC-6650G Compact Crankset 2x10 Ice Grey and use it with my current Ultegra 9 speed chain and cassete.
Can I fit it to my bicycle?Does it will work with 9 speed chain and with my 9 speed XT shifters?
Thanks a lot for yours time ,
Best Regards ,

It will work but all depends on what size your XT rings are?
I'm assuming the Ultegra will be 34-50 and your XT bill be something like 22-32-44.
If this is the case you'll need to replace the front mech which you may need to do anyway as the triple one you currently have may not work a compact.
9 speed chain will work just fine on a 10 speed set up

    what wappygixer said.

It will work fine with a 9spd setup. The issue is your front mech though. You'd be better off with a road mech and whilst road mechs are not strictly compatible with MTB LH shifters, it is very easy to get it to work okay with a two-ring setup.
