I just ordered a pitch pro at my lbs, and i am given a 150 pounds vouchers to spend on things. I was wondering how good are the tyres - Specialized Eskar Control?

If they are rubbish then I should really use the vouchers on better tyres. Please comment.. thanks.

I thought they were pretty rubbish in the wet - so I got some High Rollers instead - miles better.

I've have Eskar's on my Enduro SL and I really like them.

I actually prefer them to Maxxis Minions (Super Tacky). The Eskars give me nearly as much grip but weigh 300g less each so roll much better.

The Eskar and High Roller tyres and not designed to be used in wet conditions anyway.
The Specialized tyre for Wet is the Storm and the Maxxis equivalent is the Scream or Swampthing.
