Whcih cross bike?
Hi.
I am contemplating buying a cyclocross bike. I will use it for fast training rides on unmade roads and fire roads. My preference is for something robust rather than lightweight. In this resepct I am particularly interested in advice regarding wheel and fork choice. Pricewise I asm looking at £1500-2000 for a complete bike.
So far my favourite frame is the Van Nicholas Amazon with SLX cross/toring forks of teh same brand. Anyobe got any advice/recommednations concerning this or any other cross bikes/frames.
Cheers
Steve

I know little about his myself, but am currently looking at getting a lower end cyclocross bike myself. Most people I speak with are saying that it's a pity I don't have £1500 or so with which to get a Kona Major Jake, which is apparently the bike of choice for the current US Cyclocross champ. I'm also told that Scott Team Cross bikes and the Specialized Tricross Comp are good at that price. Hope that helps.0
