Difference between Shimano hg-73 and hg-93 chains
Hi,
I've got a 9 speed setup with 105 deraileur and Sora shifters. Just had to replace the chain so I bought a hg73 chain. Problem is that when I got the chain I realized that the sprockets was worn so I bought a new cassette (it's the 9 speed ultegra 6500) with same spread of gears on my old set up.
The instructions on shimano's site say to only use the hg93 with the cassette as the sizing is different. Thing is I thought all 9 speed shimano stuff was compatible. They both say super narrow chain. Can I use the hg73 with no ill effects or should go out and buy and new chain
I have too know because my bikes been out of action for a while, and I'll have to get chain today if possible, I have to ride!

I think they're the same shape, one is just a more expensive model (different material), just try it and see.0
