Tiagra rear wheel - anyone got a damaged wheel? (bearing)
Hi All,
I have a set of the wheels above and the rear right hand cone that threads on to the axle has pitted. Part number required is Y-3AE 03100 (its all on the Shimano techincal site which is handy)
I've been in touch with one of the shimano service centres and they think it comes only in a kit with all the locknuts etc - I only need the cone itself. The kit is not that cheap, so buying a new rear wheel is probably not much more expensive and worth doing unless...
Does anyone know where I could get the bearing cone on its own, or has anyone got a damaged Tiagra rear wheel or similar (crashed etc) that they don't want so I can have the hub or just the cone raceway?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

I reckon the part number you have is wrong (extra 0 on the end), and this is the one you need. Only £2 too.0 -
I might have a 10mm cone in the shed which isn't at the bottom of my garden but at the bottom of my Dads garden but any 10mm cone should fit, as long as the external diameter and overall length is the same. Tried your LBS they might have something like this in their box/drawers of bits.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
