Easton EA90 Aero vs Mavic Ksyrium Elite Wheels
I'm looking to get some new wheels and have been looking at the Easton EA90 Aero's but they appear to be quite stiff, however the Mavic Ksyrium Elite 2009 haven't the greatest reviews. Has anyone ridden both and have any advice/suggestions??
I'm not the most experienced cylist but I'm upping my mileage for Ironman Austria in July. The wheels I buy need to be able to get me through the race and the training once I get off my winter bike.
Thanks :0)

Id go for the Elites. Lighter, and a better wheel I think0

ironman is a TT ... so get the Eastons0

Good point, if its for TT: Eastons0

Or just get the standard Easton EA90 SL/SLX. Would seem like overkill to get aero wheels for a single event, but if you're not expecting to use them day-to-day then go for it.
I'm really happy with my Eastons, noticable improvement over my previous Ksyrium SSC SLs0 -
Thanks for the replies. I don't know about Ironman being a TT, i'm more looking tojust 'get round'!!!! I can't really afford a pair of wheels just for the race so I'm really wanting some for the Ironman mainly but that I have keep mainly for other races and the nicer summer weather! The Elites maybe then??

Cycling + did a race wheel review not so long back: Dura Ace came out top but Easton EA90 SLX weren't far behind and are cheaper (£378 on Wiggle). These are light but strong and would be a good all round wheel IMO.0

Can you post details of your bike - frame, groupset etc.
Ksyriums are great wheels but over-priced (gotta pay for all that marketing). Something like the Eastons or maybe DTSwiss would offer better value, and wouldn't be as common... Several other options too.
Do you have a budget for the wheels?0
