Bought a £1.99 skull cap made from Thinsulate from Aldi the other day. Meant for ski use, but still.

Intended to use it in place of a Buff, which isn't really warm enough in the recent sub zero temperatures.

It works too well - really too hot and sweaty, so I will have to replace it with a proper one from Endura or the like, which are thinner. It kept my head warm in a two hour -1 degree ride this afternoon.

Combined with my new HH merino wool base layer and Ozzo noeprene overshoes, it wasn't too bad.
