Okay so I've just installed my first BB and crankset. woot go me
Seems to ride fine and all, just I can still see some of the BB thread. I've tried tapping it with a hammer, but seems pretty stuck.
Do I need a crank puller to tighten it?

you only need to tighten the crank bolts as much as they will go or to whatever torque the manufacturer reccomends.
they look even so are probably correct, maybe try taking them off and re greasing and trying again.0 -
I'd be more worried about the hole in the BB shell
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
