Jerseys: How Tight?
Hey there,
Are jerseys supposed to be a neat fit? Does it make a difference?
I've always taken a slightly loose fit, but I've just had a couple of new jerseys delivered and they're slightly tighter than I'm used to.
How do you like yours?
Cheers
Pedro

fitted. look at photos of pro riders to see. jerseys look awful baggy. they also don't wick properly.0

Flappy jerseys also means that stuff is more likely to fall out the back pockets.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
-
Tight - as has been said a flapping jersey slows you down and doesn't wick0

Tight. And then I bought a green TDF jersey in Paris this summer (from the official vendors) and the sodding this is more "large" than "medium".Rides a Cannondale Synapse 105.0

Close fit definitely. Although the phrase stretched springs to mind after the amount I have eaten :oops:FCN: 40

Too many people have loose jerseys. They are not meant to be t-shirts to flap in the wind. As the others say, look at photos of the pros, they get it right. Even if you are touring, it should be a tight fit. Not too tight of course but after all, you wear lycra shorts...0

Ahh, then I'll just get used to it.
The last time I bought a neat fitting jersey, I was constantly pulling it down at the back. The ones I just bought seem to be a bit better though.
Cheers

It also happens to be a Lampre jersey that I've bought. So thanks LangerDan, this really does give me an idea of how my jersey should fit.
