If your gona fit a hed doctor go on the hopetech site and watch the video there are loads of people who c0ck up the fitting but its a piece of p*ss if you follow the instructions
http://www.hopegb.com/page_mep_force_31.html
You can also download the pdf instructions

hed doctor looks to be a good bit of kit if you already have one and certainly easier to fit if you dont have the correct fiting tools for a sfn.
you will be able to fit a chris king including the top cap and use the head dr0 -
OK back to the OP. the thread in the hed Doc is the same as the thread in the star nut so yes you will be able to use the CK top cap and bolt with the Hope hed Doc body.
In fact I have two Hope hed doc bodies you could have
Not worth buying on there own but as they come with Hope headsets so i just use the top caps with a star flanged nut. due to the body not fitting all forks due to the steerer wall thickness.
Have fun. Oh and you can get a Star flanged nut fitting tool for less than a Hope hed Doc."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
